I’ve covered plenty of logical ways to save money in prior newsletters, but since the economy doesn’t feel like it’s found its upswing yet (to put it mildly), what about some illogical ways to do it? Solo-income living is not for the weak when rents and mortgages are priced for pairs, but one thing I’ve always loved about single people is our resourcefulness. We do everything ourselves because we have to do everything ourselves, and meeting our financial needs right now is no different.

So what follows are all of the strange, somewhat questionable ways I’ve saved money during this era of perpetual fiscal fuckery. I would be absolutely delighted to hear yours as well, please feel free to share them with the class in the comments. For now: let’s get frugal.
