Yes, this decision did give me a panic attack, thank you for asking. A Single Serving Podcast has been my pride and joy since April 8th, 2019. It saw me through a career change, a pandemic, a cross-country move, a 40th birthday, and most recently, three kind of emotionally intense years. I’ve simultaneously learned how much my work can help people, and how much it can ask of me. Going against the grain for a living is wildly interesting, but lonely just the same. Beyond that, writing six thousand words of podcast notes on singlehood three to four times per month is no small accomplishment. It means if I have something to say on the topic, my god I’ve said it.
April 7th, 2025, 364 days from now, will be the last new episode of A Single Serving Podcast. It won’t disappear from the internet, it will live on Patreon forever, and all free-access episodes on Apple Podcasts will migrate to Patreon, so that will truly be the only place you can listen to it. The Facebook group for my podcast community will continue to be available to Patrons only and managed by me, it isn’t going away. At any time, anyone who wants to can become a Patron at $5 per month and have access to over 300 episodes of singlehood reframing and shame-shattering content I am overwhelmingly proud to have available. That is a steal.
